EFB battery is the full name of enhanced maintenance-free lead-acid battery, which is an upgrade of ordinary liquid-rich battery. At the same time, the investment of new materials, new technology and new production equipment ensures the stability of EFB battery performance and quality, and has been greatly improved in battery service life, low temperature starting, water loss and other aspects. The batteries are mainly used in cars with stop-start systems.
Structural features:
EFB battery adopts new alloy, new lead paste formula and new partition, this series of measures make EFB battery in the battery service life, water loss, low temperature starting and other aspects have been greatly improved, the unique tight assembly makes the battery in the process of use effectively prevent the battery lead paste softening off. The new patent design diversion device inside the battery can effectively prevent acid stratification phenomenon, while the large cover uses "maze lattice" type design, the use of this new patent effectively prevents the overflow of acid and acid mist, increasing the safety of battery use.

The use of characteristics:
Automotive Start Stop Battery have low self-discharge and long service life. Maintenance-free lead-acid batteries can generally be used for 2 ~ 3 years, while EFB batteries can be used for 3 ~ 5 years. At the same time, the EFB battery adopts a new technology, and the low temperature starting current is greatly improved compared with the ordinary maintenance-free battery.
The difference between EFB battery and general maintenance-free battery
Automotive Start Stop Battery compared with ordinary maintenance-free lead acid batteries
EFB battery cover uses a new structure; The common maintenance-free battery cover uses the traditional structure
EFB uses new partitions; Common maintenance-free use of PE partitions
EFB adopts new design grid; Common maintenance-free use of traditional design grille
EFB low temperature starting current is large; The general maintenance-free low temperature starting current is relatively small
The service life of EFB is 3-5 years; The general maintenance-free service life is 2-3 years
EFB uses constant voltage current limiting charging; General maintenance-free constant voltage charging
Storage of EFB batteries
Automotive Start Stop Battery in addition to the normal battery conditions of storage, it is characterized by the use of no other maintenance. But maintenance is needed during storage.
EFB batteries are strictly prohibited from losing power (voltage should not be lower than 12.6V)
Automotive Start Stop Battery should not be kept in the sun and without ventilation
Do not invert the EFB battery or tilt it 45° for more than 60 minutes during storage
EFB batteries need to be recharged after they have been used for too long, usually once every three months.
Charging the EFB battery
Charging method: EFB battery and ordinary maintenance-free lead-acid battery compared with another feature is the use of constant voltage current limit charging. We know that the terminal voltage of the ordinary battery can reach 2.6-2.8 volts/single cell at the end of constant current charging, and there will be a lot of gas produced in the battery at such a high charging voltage. Even the maintenance-free battery will produce a large amount of gas, affecting the service life of the battery. So EFB batteries use constant voltage current limiting charging method.
Setting of charging value: EFB battery charging should be carried out constant voltage current limit charging method, charging voltage is 16V, charging current is less than 5I20 (I20 is the value of the rated capacity of the battery divided by 20, such as EFB70Ah battery, I20=3.5A), the battery temperature change should be detected during charging, and the battery reflection should be accurately observed every 2 hours. If the temperature is too high, stop charging immediately.
